People do business with people they know when given the chance. As a member you can make important business contacts at our monthly mixers or luncheons. You may choose to host one of the mixers to gain even more exposure. Only Chamber Members are given that opportunity. You’ll not only meet the business leaders of your community, you’ll gain them as your customers.

Customer Referrals
The South Nevada County Chamber continually receives an abundance of calls about our members, the needs of our members and the services offered by our members. These calls are from potential customers, suppliers and lenders that will serve your financial needs. Only South Nevada County Chamber Members receive specific referrals from the Chamber office.

Governmental Advocacy
One important role of the South Nevada County Chamber of Commerce is to tackle tough issues that affect members, and to serve as the voice of business on city, county and regional issues. The South Nevada County Chamber strives to keep you informed of the issues that may directly affect you and your business. The collective voice of the chamber membership can do much more than one business alone

A growing segment of the world turns to the web for initial information regarding almost any subject or service. When they take a look at Nevada County, they will see South Nevada County Chamber of Commerce. When they look at SNCC, they will see you, but only if you are a member. Visit our site at sncchamber.org. As a member you will have your contact information and a hyperlink to your own site listed on the SNCC website. You will also find a Calendar of Events that encourage people to visit and enjoy what South Nevada County and your business has to offer.

Credibility
Chambers of Commerce are among the most respected business organizations in the county, state or nation. You association with the Chamber makes a valuable statement about your business to potential customers, business associates and business lenders. You will be gaining added credibility important to any business concerned about their image.

Chamber members have access to a mailing list of fellow members free of charge. Quarterly Chamber of Commerce newsletters help to keep members informed with news of the South County business community and issues that may affect you. Members have advertising space available at a very reasonable price.


Marketing Opportunities
Outside advertising opportunities in local guides and publications are often available to members at a discounted rate. Relocation packets containing information about South Nevada County are sent to people interested in relocating their home or their business here. Members are invited to provide their marketing material to be included.

The Chamber maintains a visitor center and works with local tourist organizations to help gain business from visitors to our area. Visitor information packets that include member information are distributed to walk-ins and callers daily.

SNCC members are encouraged to make their marketing material available to those who visit our visitor’s center located in our chamber office.

The South Nevada County Chamber participated in local events such as the Golf Tournament and Holiday Fair. Member information is distributed at these events. For new businesses, we conduct a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Chamber officials to help you attract needed attention.
