Welcome to the South Nevada County Chamber of Commerce!

In 1999, the business community of South Nevada County came together to form our Chamber.  They recognized the need for the business community to band together to represent our small, but vibrant community. Great things have come from this endeavor.

The South Nevada County Chamber of Commerce was the driving force behind the development and construction of the beautiful “Welcome to Nevada County” Monument sign that greets residents and visitors alike when entering the gateway to our county. With the generous donations of local businesses and individuals, the South Nevada County Chamber of Commerce gathered over $20,000 for the project and dedicated the monument to Nevada County in 2006. The Monument has become widely photographed and is a wonderful addition to the beauty of Nevada County.

Our Chamber office also doubles as a Visitor’s Center directing interested individuals to the various businesses and organizations located within all of Nevada County. We offer interested individuals marketing materials and referral for our business members along with answering any questions that may come our way.

The Chamber is very active with community events and scholarships. For the past several years, the Chamber has been the host of the Bear River 5k Fun Run which is part of the Gold Country Grand Prix Series and the Christmas in the Pines event held during the holiday season to promote small businesses in our community and showcase local artists. Both events are fundraisers allowing our Chamber to award college scholarships to high school seniors and work with other community organizations.

The Chamber also strives to work with small businesses by offering numerous networking events such as mixers, educational seminars, Town Hall meetings and one-on-one training. It is our goal to ensure that South Nevada County businesses are informed about issues that affect their business and offer them the tools needed to enhance their companies on many different levels.

The Chamber’s mission statement is to “provide a voice for the business community and enhance the economic vitality of South Nevada County.” As our membership continues to grow and flourish, the Chamber will continue to work with our local businesses and the community bringing vitality to the South Nevada County area.

The South Nevada County Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer non-profit organization with a hard working Board of Directors who welcomes you to our community and to our Chamber.

We look forward to working with you. Please contact any of us should you need further information or assistance.
